Unfortunately, post below was only an April Fools joke. Still no sign or hope for macOS Mojave NVIDIA drivers.
No one. I repeat NO ONE expected that. NVIDIA has released alternate graphics drivers (Web Drivers) for macOS Mojave 10.14.4. These are separate from the drivers Apple ships as standard, and should be considered experimental. These drivers have been known to solve OpenCL issues with certain applications, as well as providing better native GPU power management for certain devices.
New Release 418.163. CUDA driver update to support CUDA Toolkit 10.1 Update 1 and macOS 10.13.6; Recommended CUDA version(s): CUDA 10.1 Update 1; Supported macOS. 10.13; An alternative method to download the latest CUDA driver is within macOS environment. Access the latest driver through System Preferences Other CUDA. Click 'Install CUDA. Oct 03, 2018 As CUDA is not currently supported in Mojave, and there are no official Web Drivers either for Nvidia GPUs as of this writing, you might want to remove the CUDA drivers and the old Web Drivers if.
These drivers are currently the only method to get full acceleration for GeForce GTX 1050, 1050 Ti, 1060, 1070, 1070 Ti, 1080, 1080 Ti, TITAN Pascal, and TITAN Xp 'Pascal' graphics cards and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750, 750 Ti, 950, 960, 970, 980, 980 Ti, and TITAN X 'Maxwell' graphics cards. There are no current Macs with these cards, so support is absent natively in macOS.
If you've installed the drivers before, you may get a notification to update to the new drivers from the built in System Preferences pane.
In order to use the alternate drivers on your hackintosh, you must first install the driver package.
You can download drivers here.
Hi Jaycmeza! Can you open the System Report for your video card and see if it reports as Metal compatible? To do this click the Apple logo in the upper right, and then 'About this Mac'. Then click on 'System Report'. On the left column, click on 'Graphics/Displays'. Can you post a screenshot of this page? For an example of what it should look like, here is mine with my GTX 960.
Latest Nvidia Web Drivers For Macos Mojave Hackintosh Update
While I haven't tried to install Mojave yet, I'd imagine it won't work without the latest Nvidia web drivers. It took them around 3-4 months to come out with the High Sierra ones, I'd imagine the same will be true with Mojave.
